If you are getting an error message, such as "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135)" when trying to open Alive please install the latest .NET framework by going to http://www.microsoft.com/net/ and click "Get the .NET Framework" then "Download".
Also make sure your copy of windows is legal, and up-to-date.
