Hello,
For the last month, or a bit more, i think it happend in the last automatic update, there has been a change, it seems, in SC calibration.
I am using Alive2 with IOM sensors.
Before i had patients with reading roughly 2-7 with exceptions going above 14, and few, mostly patients above the age of 65 showing reading of less then 0.5mS.
Now I can't work with elderly people anymore, and even for young and very anxious patients during the session Alive stops becasue reading of SC is less than 0.2 mS.
At the moment ALL of the patients don't go above 0.6 mS.
Working with graph on HRV smoothness the programme asks if to shut down SC, but when playing DualDrive it forces to close.
Please Help.
Thank you
Imri

Re: SC Calibration
Hi Imri,
It sounds like your sensors are wearing out. The Wild Divine IOM and Lightstone sensors have a coating that wears out over time with use. Unfortunately since Wild Divine stopped making those sensors, they also stopped repairing them.
You can either buy a used Lightstone from eBay, or buy one from us at www.somaticvision.com/Lightstone
Since most people who bought this game only used it for a few hours, you have a good chance even on eBay of getting a good device. If you want a guaranteed device, you can buy from us.
We also now have a new, more expensive sensor, the GP8 Amp. It has better skin conductance, and all individual sensor leads are inexpensive to replace if they ever break (and they don't wear out over time like the Lightstone/IOM). You can upgrade, if you want, from www.somaticvision.com/AlivePioneerGP8Amp
Meanwhile, you may be able to get away temporarily by just applying moisturizer to the skin, but this is a temporary fix and the skin conductance will change over time as the moisturizer dries.
Best,
