The new update

How can I use the new games in the updated Alive? Are they free? Should I do anything after installing the update?

I'm not sure which new games you are referring to.
Starting in Alive 2.x there are 2 new environments for Alive Clinical, Petals of Light and Valley. Those appear, for free, automatically when you install the latest version of Alive from:
www.somaticvision.com/trial.php?M=D
Alive has many add-on games which can be purchased separately from:
https://www.somaticvision.com/products/aliveclinical
Scroll down to the section "Alive Add-on Games"
