Hi Ateeq,
The GP8 does not have a reliable way to determine its own battery charge. The battery lasts for a long time (100 hours of use) so you probably won't have to change it much. If you open Alive, and it says there is no GP8 connected, or you are using Alive and stop getting a signal, change the battery.
