After loading the program I get the error message:
the application or dll c:\windows\d3dim700.dll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette.
How do I fix this issue?

Hi,
That is not a file that Alive installs, its just a required Windows dll that Windows should have. Can you please send an image of the error message, and explain when it shows that?
Thanks,
Ryan

I couldn't take a picture of the screen but I get it just after starting up the software, before I get the first screen.

Does any other software produce this issue? I see online that this can be a symptom of viruses or malware. Scan your system with some virus protection program and let me know how it goes. I don't believe this issue is specific to Alive, but Alive does require D3D to run. What version of Windows are you using?
