I just wanted to share this recent exchange between an Alive user and Yuval Oded, the clinician behind Alive:

Hello Yuval
When I am relaxing
I tend to begin to breath to deeply are there any tips you can give me to slow my in breath
I use my nose to breath in
I used pursed lips to breath out
Also when I breath my out breath is longer than in breath
One final point is as I breath in stop and breath out at the middle stop point this causes tension
Can you advise what I should do at this point
Regards and thanks for your time

Hi ,
You should breath as if riding on a wave, no stops, start with your nstural breathing pace and just exhake a bit longer( not too long) when you are comfortable with the length of outbreath add the abdominal component, place your hand on your abdomen and breath into your hand, without effort, sometimes its better to train first not sitting but laying on a sofa or bed.
Best
Yuval
