Hi Gili,

It looks like maybe your Alive installation is corrupted. In the screenshot where it shows the current playback time it has a strange set of numbers, which may indicate it can't find the audio file. First of all, just to see if it works you can try clicking the male voice button (also shown in that screenshot).

Overall I think your solution is to reinstall Alive. You don't need to uninstall first, just go to www.somaticvision.com/trial.php?M=D and install Alive from the link there.

If you wish you can first backup your users by going to your Documents folder and copying the entire Alive Sessions folder to your desktop (or anywhere else on your computer), or even better, a USB drive.

Dear Ryan

Thanks for your reply. Indeed the button works. Just started re-installing, I'll report when it's done

Hi Gil,

So do I understand correctly that when you press the "male" voice you hear the workshop audio, but when you press the "female" voice you don't?

When you first open it should be on the male voice option, do you then click female voice and things don't work? Is it all audio environments or just one?

Do you have Windows Media Player on your computer? Sometimes if you have Windows without Windows Media Player some required codecs aren't installed.

I've tested and of course it works over hear, so it may be something specific to your computer. Please let me know the answers to these questions, and then we'll probably connect you with someone who can troubleshoot your computer directly.

Best,

Ryan,

Thank you for your patience. The audio doesn't work at all. I can click the buttons of man or woman and see the "signal light" move from one to other but can't hear anything. Mediaplayer is indeed installed, I do suspect it's an issue with my computer but don't have any idea what might it be (everything seems to work except this)

Hi Gil,

It sounds like you need some remote support to help fix your computer to be able to play Alive audio. I need your e-mail address to connect you with our Alive programmers who can help you. You can send me a private message through the forum, or use the Contact Us button at http://www.somaticvision.com/support

One last thing, open Alive, then right click the speaker icon in the bottom right area of the task bar (at the bottom of the screen). Click open Volume Mixer (from the menu that comes up when you right click the speaker) and make sure that the volume slider for Alive (which may display as Unity) is up at maximum.

Best,

Ryan
