Good Morning,
I am not clear about the categories of Smoothness Difficulty.
The first selections are "Smoothness Difficulty: Easy, Standard, Intermediate, etc. . . ." Then, "emWave: Low, Normal, etc. . . ."
I use the emWave sensor, so do I choose the emWave levels?
What is the difference, anyway?
Thanks!

Re: Smoothness Difficulty levels?
Hi Rex,
Smoothness is a term Somatic Vision uses to name its heart rate variability algorithm. The Somatic Vision algorithm is very fast. All of the Smoothness - Difficulty level type items use the Somatic Vision algorithm.
People who purchase Alive, but are used to the emWave difficulty levels can instead use the emWave "Coherence" difficulty levels. These are slower to respond, but will be exactly like what you are used to, if you are used to training in the emWave PC/Desktop software.
The emWave algorithms are those approved and created by Heart Math. You'll need to try both to see which suits you the most.
Best,
Ryan

Thanks, Ryan!
As I use both Alive! and HeartMath, using the emWave levels might provide more consistency when looking at averages HRV/coherence over time. I'll try it.
If I were a programmer (ha!), and a "biofeedback guy" I would combine the best aspects of Alive!, HeartMath, and Wild Divine. The WildDivine workshops are, in my opinion, alright-but -unremarkable, just standard New Agey fare, if you like that sort of thing, and have little to do with biofeedback. But some of the "games" and tasks are quite charming and fun and are specifically biofeedback driven.
Thanks, Ryan, for your time. Much appreciated.
Aloha,
Rex
