I intend to buy 3 laptops / notebooks aimed mainly (only) for Alive, so I'll be able to use them in Workshops I intend to do at organizations.
· Could you let me know a recommendation about the best configuration needed for such usage?
· Also – do you think 10-10.2" notebooks will do or should I buy 12" or more?

There is an important thing to look for in purchasing a laptop for Alive, or for any 3d games, and it will not be standard on most laptops. Please make sure the laptop has an ATI, AMD, or nVidia graphics card, ideally with dedicated video memory. The laptop should NOT HAVE INTEL GRAPHICS, as this is not a real graphics card, and does not actually meet Alive minimum requirements (although most people using laptops don't meet Alive minimum requirements, but Alive will generally work fine, although slower, anyway). For best performance, especially of the mini-games and environments (without having to select the use low resolution option) please make sure there is a real 3d graphics card/chip in the laptop.

This is a comparison, if you scroll down to "Video Card" the good ones there are the Mobility Radeon, which also have dedicated video ram, as opposed to using the laptops shared ram for video processing. Any Mobility Radeon solution is one example of a good laptop solution. This will be the main factor in Alive preformance. Screen size, processor speed, etc. will be far secondary to video card, since Alive is all about 3d and 2d graphics, which should be handled by the video card and not passed off to the processor (cpu).
